Foley & Lardner advised TerraMagna, the rural credit fintech startup from Brazil, as U.S. legal counsel in TerraMagna’s $40 million Series A equity and debt finance round led by Softbank Group International Latin America Fund, Milenio Capital and Shift Capital.
Bronstein Zilberberg Chueiri Potenza Advogados acted as Brazilian legal counsel to TerraMagna.
TerraMagna offers credit to the agrobusiness in partnership with industries and distributors that have relationships with small and medium-sized farmers, and has a portfolio which reached $120 million in 2021, a tenfold rise from 2020. The round marks Softbank‘s first venturing in the farming related activities.
