Bronstein Zilberberg Chueri & Potenza and Cescon Barrieu Advogados represented the parties
Zenvia (B3:ZENV), a platform of communication layer on top of SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram and Voip, acquires Brazilian Movidesk in its second acquisition following its IPO last July.
Movidesk offers an unified help desk and service desk solutions built on its SaaS platform. Donisete Gomes, founder and CEO of Movidesk will remain ahead of the company.
The acquisition is part of Zenvia’ strategy to muscle up its customer experience (CX) by building data analysis onto its services. Zenvia is paying $67 million for the company. The payment will be made mainly in cash though 10% of the price will be paid in shares of Zenvia, subject to lockups. Combined annual revenues of both companies are estimated at $100 million.
Currently, Zenvia service more than 11 thousand clients in Brazil, Mexico and Argentina according to Cassio Bobsin, CEO of Zenvia. Though the company has seen significant growth in sales and value since its incorporation 6 years ago, shares of the company are trading down 40% from its highs in a movement reflecting the correction that tech companies are suffering this year in Brazil.
As Zenvia acquires Movidesk, the combined companies are better positioned to increase their penetration in a very competitive market.
