Mexico’s Skydropx, a logistics management platform that helps companies reduce time and costs, has landed its Series A investment round of $20 million. The round was co-led by 645 Ventures and Base10 Partners, marking a milestone for e-commerce logistics in Mexico. Also participating in the round were fellow e-logistics companies Shippo Ltd and Flexport, as well as Tinder co-founder Justin Mateen, FJ Labs, and Cometa. The capital is added to the $27 million the company has raised since its founding in 2014 from different investors, including FJ Labs, Cometa, Dynamo, and Sierra Ventures.
The newly raised funds will be allocated to strengthen Skydropx’s position as the market leader in Mexico, by accelerating its growth and adding new functionalities for its clients, and to launch operations in new countries. Skydropx will focus on expanding into countries where e-commerce has grown rapidly, such as Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Peru.
